Inclusive Education
nclusive education means that all students may attend and are welcomed by Mountain Christian School in age-appropriate, regular classes and are supported to learn, contribute and participate in all aspects of the life of the school.
At Mountain Christian School we develop and design our school programs and activities to create an environment in which all students can learn and participate together. We believe that no student should be excluded and that all students should have a common learning environment which fosters support, respect and acceptance.
We have the following support available for students:
- 9 Educational Assistants & a Special Education Program Assistant
- Speech and language pathologists
- Registered School Counselor
- Career and Guidance Counselor
- R & R Therapy

Exceptional Equine
Equine Assisted Learning ( EAL) is a powerful, professional and effective approach, to learning and developing life skills. This experiential learning approach is proven to have a positive and lasting impact on individuals of all ages. The objectively driven exercises are each designed and tested to deliver specific outcomes so results are irrefutable.
How? By including horses in specially designed experiential learning exercises, equine-assisted specialists are able to observe non-verbal communication of the horses and be a translator as well as a guide to encourage the learner to attain the outcome of each exercise. This hands-on approach to learning has proven to greatly multiply the participants’ retention and understanding of skills learned.
